Privacy Policy

Who we are
SayCroissant is operated by [Legal entity], [Address], [Country]. For anything related to your data, write to contact@saycroissant.app.
What we collect on this website
- Your email address, only if you type it into the waitlist form and submit it. It stays pending until you confirm the email link we send.
- Optional preferences after sign-up: your self-declared French level and the kind of story you like to read. We use these to decide what to build first; you can leave them blank.
- Sign-up context stored with it: the date and time, the page that referred you, your browser language, and the campaign the link came from if you arrived through one. We use this to understand where sign-ups come from.
- Usage analytics: pages viewed, approximate location derived from a truncated IP address, device type and interactions such as “joined the waitlist”, collected through Google Analytics 4 / Firebase Analytics when configured. Analytics starts in Consent Mode with storage denied, so the initial measurement is cookieless.
We do not collect names, payment details or any special category data on this site.
Why we use it, and on what basis
- To verify your email and contact you about early access — because you asked us to (consent).
- To measure how the site performs so we can improve it, subject to your applicable choices (legitimate interests or consent, depending on your region).
Where it is stored
Waitlist entries are stored in Google Cloud Firestore and this site is served by Firebase Hosting, both operated by Google. Google may process the data on servers outside your country under its standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Waitlist data is held only for prelaunch and early-access communications. No automated cleanup job has been configured yet; we will delete entries when they are no longer needed and immediately when you ask us to. Analytics data expires automatically after 14 months.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own. Google Analytics is configured with Consent Mode v2 and starts with analytics storage denied; if you later grant consent, Google may set analytics cookies. Nothing here is used for advertising, and we do not sell or share your data with advertisers.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you, correct, export or delete everything we hold about you, and you can withdraw consent at any time. When email communications begin, they will include a one-click unsubscribe link. Write to contact@saycroissant.app and we will answer within 30 days. If you are in the EU or the UK you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will update the date above and, when it matters, tell you by email.
